Is Dawn dish soap safe for boat seats?

The chemical compounds in standard dish soap can break down the cushion's materials and, over time, will permanently damage the vinyl. It is important to use a proper marine upholstery cleaner as they are formulated with marine-grade UV protection compounds that prevent long-term sun damage.

Can Marine vinyl get wet?

Today's recreational boats are typically made of aluminum or fiberglass. Boat seats are covered in marine-grade vinyl. It is water-resistant and inhibits the growth of mildew or mold when your boat interior gets wet.

Can vinyl boat seats be repaired?

Yes! we can repair most boat cuts/rips, sun burn, color fading and seam stitch rips.

Can you steam clean vinyl boat seats?

Steam cleaning can be highly effective to clean all boat surfaces including vinyl seats, cupholders, dashboards or to remove mold and carpet stains.

How do you repair torn vinyl boat seats?

Duct tape is a quick fix if you get a tear, but it's not a long-term solution. for a quality long lasting repair stop by a local trimmer or upholsterer. (someone like us ;)

Can you dye vinyl boat seats?

Our Marine paint restorer can match the color of most white/or any color boat vinyl.

Marine vinyl paint is a water-based finish that conditions, sunscreens and seals vinyl. It covers stains and will not peel or flake off.
